There is a vast inventory of homes for sale in just about any town. Unless you have created professional real estate flyers to sell your home, it may not be getting the attention it deserves from potential buyers.
Buyers usually ask first about the price so put it at the top of the page. They want to know the number of bedrooms. Many people like to cook and will inquire about the appliances. Take the time to measure rooms and include the dimensions on the sheet.
Another excellent selling point is displaying photographs of inside the home. Information can be posted on the internet through listing services so people around the world have a chance to view it. The best pictures are of the most commonly used rooms. The living room, dining room and kitchen should be clean and uncluttered. A good agent will suggest the seller remove any personal items. Buyers want to see empty space to imagine how their furnishings will look.
If there is a swimming pool, ensure the water sparkles and is clean. Remove objects from both in the pool and on the deck. Make note if there is a deep end and/or a jacuzzi connected to the pool. Highlight the fencing around the pool area to show buyers who have children. Point out a play area or barbecue set up if they are there. Pictures of both the inside and outside of a home increase the interest level of potential buyers.
